PURPOSE:To prevent the rising of residual potential and peeling of layers by using a specified quaternary copolymer resin for a low resistance protective layer to enhance its mechanical strength and adhesion. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by successively laminating on a conductive substrate, a photosensitive layer, an interlayer, and the surface protective layer made of tin oxide particles and a binder resin for dispersing them, and this binder is a hardened copolymer obtained by copolymerizing 4 kinds of monomers; a) styrene, b) methyl methacrylate, c) acrylic acid, and d) one of N-methylolacrylamide, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, and glycidyl methacrylate, thus permitting sufficient mechanical strength as the surface protective layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body to be obtained, and the raise of residual potential and peeling of the layers due to repeated uses to be both prevented. |
