PURPOSE:To remove deterioration of the transfer efficiency by inserting a coupling resistance R between an LC oscillation circuit of a charge coupled device (CCD) electrode side and a clock driver, thereby making the coupling of the above circuit and driver loose. CONSTITUTION:Drivers 1 and 2 enter into a quiescent time at the same time respectively and drive signals H1 and H2 where their phases are mutually reversed are inputted. And output powers of the drivers 1 and 2 are applied to CCD's electrodes phi11 and phi12. A series circuit of inductance L and capacitance C is connected to an equivalent electrode capacitance C0 in parallel. A preliminary driving is performed immediately before terminating the quiescent time (starting the charge transfer). In such a preliminary driving, only energy is filled into an LC oscillation circuit and no charge transfer is carried out. In this way, coupling resistance makes the coupling of the drive means and oscillation circuit loose and the energy filling at the start-up is performed by the preliminary driving which is not accompanied by the charge transfer.
