PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition excellent in tensile strength, bending modulus, transparency, heat resistance, etc., by mixing a methacrylic acid/ aromatic vinyl compound copolymer of a specified composition with a methyl methacrylate/aromatic vinyl compound copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A methacrylic acid/aromatic vinyl compound copolymer (e.g., methacrylic acid/styrene copolymer) containing 5-50wt.% methacrylic acid is mixed with a methyl methacrylate/aromatic vinyl compound copolymer (e.g., methyl methacrylate/styrene copolymer) containing at least 40wt.% methyl methacrylate to obtain the title transparent resin composition. This transparent resin composition can be suitably used for lighting apparatuses, automobile parts, optical parts, etc.
