PURPOSE:To require no jig and tool and to improve the productivity and economy by composing the unit with metallic electrodes incorporated or loaded along the side surface of a resistor and coverage of insulating films to connect lead wires to the metallic electrodes which is contracted by heating, and exposing the lead wires from the insulating films in a heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:After lead wires 6 are connected to electrodes 2 and 3 of a heating body 1, insulating films 4 and 5 which are contracted by heating are laminated and adhered at the upper and lower sides to form a heating body. In this case, the lead wires are heat-treated after taking in up to the end surface of cuttings of the insulating films 4 and 5. As a result, the insulating films 4 and 5 are contracted in the lengthwise direction to be smaller or shorter, but the lead wires 6 coming to the end surface of the insulating films are not contracted keeping the original length, resulting in extending out of the insulating films. Consequently, no jig and tool are necessary to expose the lead wires 6, little manpower is required, and the production is carried out at a good productivity and economy.
