The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner nozzle allowing the distance between the base plate and the floor to be adapted to the type of floor to be cleaned. The nozzle comprises a body which can be moved parallel to the floor on at least two support and sliding mechanisms 2 and it is provided with a base plate 5 which can move vertically: this plate 5 is connected, using a bellows 12, to a suction tube and bears on at least two raising elements 3 which are positioned in vertical guides 4 provided in the body of the nozzle 1: a horizontal movement of a sliding switch 6 with two fixed positions can be transmitted indirectly to the raising elements 3 and converted into a vertical movement of the raising elements 3, by virtue of the fact that a sliding pivot pin 8 moves in a sliding slot which can move other than parallel to the support surface of the raising elements 3, the height of vertical movement being determined by the vertical difference between the inversion points, which are determined by the fixed positions of the sliding switch 6 and of the pivot pin sliding in the slot. <IMAGE> |
