PURPOSE:To enable to transmit the pushing and pulling force for moving the window glass of an automobile upward or downward by utilizing rotation of a gear, by combining an ordinary chain having flexibility and a high tensile strength that is engaged with a gear with a resilient long member having a sufficient compressive strength. CONSTITUTION:A resilient long member 12 having a sufficient longitudinal compressive strength is combined with a chain 11 which is held in engagement with a driving gear and moved in the longitudinal direction through rotation of the driving gear. With such an arrangement, pulling force is transmitted to a holder 5 only by means of the chain 11, while pushing force can be transmitted to the holder 5 by pulling the long member 12 in pushing direction by means of the chain 11 by the aid of a coupling member 13. Thus, it is enabled to obtain a pushing and pulling force transmitting device which is sufficiently strong and can be manufactured and assembled with case. |
