PURPOSE:To facilitate regulation of fuel injection pressure and setting of initial lift at the start of main injection while to improve accuracy by means of first, second springs, initial lift regulating shim, main injection starting pressure regulating shim, etc. CONSTITUTION:When the pressure in an injection tube reaches to the initial injection starting pressure, a needle 7 will rise against first spring 13 while stop temporarily when the upper end 15a of first push rod will contact against the lower end 23b of second push rod. Here the lift (L) is adjusted by varying the thickness of initial lift adjusting shim 25. Upon reaching to the main injection starting pressure, the force for pushing up the second push rod 23 will exceed over the setting load of second spring 19, so the spring 19 is compressed to lift the entire stroke thus to perform main injection until lowering to the valve close pressure. The time required from the start of initial injection to the start of main injection can be set through adjusting of setting load of second spring 19. |
