PURPOSE:To obtain a modified PVC composition with excellent impact resistance, weatherability, heat stability and moldability, by dispersing a polyacrylic acid elastomer into a porous PVC particle. CONSTITUTION:A modified PVC composition in which 3-20pts.wt. polyalkyl acrylate elastomer consisting of a 2-10C alkyl acrylate polymer and a copolymer thereof with a 1-4C alkyl methacrylate is dispersed into 100pts.wt. preliminarily formed porous PVC particle, is obtd. by adding and polymerizing a 2-10C alkyl methacrylate when the degree of polymn. of a 2-10C alkyl acrylate is 50-90% by use of a polymn. initiator combined with an oil-sol. peroxide chain transfer agent of a 10hr half-life temp. <50 deg.C. A composition excellent in impact resistance, weatherability, heat stability and moldability, is obtd. |
