PURPOSE:To cover offset of combination error between a fixing error and a gap error by providing reverse input phase to an auxiliary unit angle signal to be detected through an electromagnetic pickup when an included angle of engine is integer times of unit angle. CONSTITUTION:Projections 1a are provided with predetermined angular interval on the circumference of a rotary body 1 interlocked with the crank shaft of an engine, where one of the projections 1a is missed. Referential position is detected by employing a signal detected through an electromagnetic pickup 2B as an auxiliary unit angle signal. When an included angle of engine is N times of the unit angle (N is an integer), reverse input phase is provided to the auxiliary unit angle signal. Consequently, offset of combination error between a fixing error and a gap error can be covered.
