PURPOSE:To prevent mode set information from being erased even at the time of turning off a power source and to eliminate a need of a storage battery by constituting a memory, in which mode set information is stored, of an electrically erasable and programmable ROM (EEPROM). CONSTITUTION:A mode set information storage device 10 is provided with an electrically erasable and programmable EEPROM 11 and a read/write control circuit 12 which is connected to a higher device and controls read/write of mode set information in the EEPROM 11. Since the memory consists of the electrically erasable and programmable ROM and read and write of mode set information are controlled by the control circuit, mode set information is not erased even at the time of turning off the power source and a storage battery is unnecessary.
