PURPOSE:To reduce an error ratio by providing an optical information recorder with a means for discriminating code constitution before and after a leading edge or a trailing edge of an inputted digital signal, a timing adjusting means for slightly changing an edge position and a light adjusting means for intermittently interrupting writing light flux in accordance with an output from the timing adjusting means. CONSTITUTION:An inputted digital signal is inputted to the code discriminating means 1 to discriminate the code constitution before and after the leading edge or trailing edge of the signal and a signal corresponding to the deviation of the edge position at the time of reading is generated. The output is applied to the timing adjusting means 2 to which the input digital signal is applied and the edge position at the time of writing is corrected so as to be a normal position at the time of reading. The output of the means 2 is applied to an optical modulator 3 to intermittently interrupt light flux radiated from a light source 4 to obtain a required light beam 5, which is projected to a recording carrier 7 through a light converging means 6. Even if a pit length and a pit interval are short, information can be recorded in the carrier with high density.
