Trimming thick or thin-film temp. sensor

A trimming path is used which is destroyed at a calculated number of points to ensure that the resistance of the temp. sensor has a given value at a specified temp. The temp. sensor is initially temp. balanced, a subsequent measuring procedure being used to measure its temp.-dependant value. This is used in conjunction with the previously obtd. balance temp. to calculate the combination of points at which the trimming path needs to be destroyed. Pref. the trimming path is made of a thermosensitive material in the form of a conductor path applied to the substrate of the temp. sensor.
