PURPOSE:To prevent illegal use by cancelling a user ID by an information processor at the time of inputting an erroneous password for this user ID continuously N numbers of times (N is a fixed value). CONSTITUTION:The user ID and the password supplied from a terminal equipment to the information processor are monitored after connection, and the information processor cancels the user ID if the monitored password is erroneous for the same user ID continuously N numbers of times (N is a fixed value). A system manager of the information processor informs a user that the user ID is cancelled. Thus, it is impossible for an illegal user to repeat trial and error until hitting upon the password corresponding to the user ID, and the illegal use is prevented. |
