The loudspeaker system has at least two vertically spaced units (1, 2) respectively housing the low frequency and high frequency loudspeakers. The two units (1, 2) are joined together by an integrated stand (6) which pref. fits through a vertical guide sleeve (7, 8) incorporated in each unit (1, 2). The bottom unit (2) may be placed directly on the floor. Alternatively the two units (1, 2) are coupled via a pair of vertical supports which are attached to their opposite sides, or by a single vertical support which has a U-frame at each end for fitting round the two opposite sides of each unit (1, 2).
