PURPOSE:To reduce a bias magnet at its size and weight and to improve recording and reproducing accuracy by allowing a bias magnetic field impressing part to interlock with an optical head so that a magneto-optical disk is held by a transmission mechanism and always opposed to the optical head. CONSTITUTION:A traveling board 4 is traveled through a pinion 6a and a rack 4a so that the optical axis of an object lens in an object lens driving part 3 is moved along the radius of a magnet-optical disk 1. Interlocking with the movement of the traveling board 4, the magnetic file impressing part 7 is moved so that its center part always coincides with the optical axis of the objective lens in the driving part 3. Simultaneously with said movement, focusing control and tracking control are executed so that a laser beam from the optical head 2 is always focused on the surface of the disk 1 and always follow tracks on the disk 1.
