PURPOSE:To efficiently perform a multiple step protecting processing for multiple signals, by constituting a multiple signal/multiple step protection circuit without being affected by the number of signals and that of protection steps by using a memory which stores plural protection information for inputted plural input signals of frame unit as applying update processings on them. CONSTITUTION:Plural specific signals Sin(1)-(n) are inputted to an input switching circuit 201, and are sent a protection detection circuit 202 time divisionally. Meanwhile, a memory access circuit 206 reads out the data of a content to be protected from a memory 203 according to an address generated from an address control circuit 205, and the protection detection circuit 202 performs the protection detection and the processing of the signal sent from the input switching circuit 201 based on the above data, and also, writes it on the same address by shifting in a hardware wise. By performing such operation for the number of times equivalent to the number of the signals Sin(1)-(n), the protection detection and the processing of all of the signals Sin(1)-(n) can be performed. In such a way, it is possible to perform the multiple step protecting processing for the multiple signals efficiently.
