PURPOSE:To shorten erasing time and to enable recording, reading and erasing with an optical head having just one piece of semiconductor laser by adding specific elements to base glass of a specific element system. CONSTITUTION:The erasing time is shortened to <1musec if the recording film for an optical memory is formed by adding Ir and Au at 0.02-0.25g to the Sb-Te base glass consisting, by atomic %, of 34-45% Sb and 55-66% Te. Execution of recording, reading and erasing with the optical head having just one piece of the semiconductor laser is thereby enabled. |
