PURPOSE:To display a pseudo stereoscopic picture without limiting an observing position to a narrow range by overlapping and disposing plural plane type display units in which a video display and a transparent display can be attained at a prescribed interval and displaying on the display unit according to the video information of an object from an image pickup means. CONSTITUTION:The display device 10 of a three dimensional video display device is constituted of a video signal separating circuit 11, a transparently displaying near view display liquid crystal panel 14 and a distant view display liquid crystal panel 15 and their liquid crystal layers are composed of the glass of a prescribed thickness, and laminated. In the image pickup device camera 2 for picking up the image of the object 1, an infrared ray emitter 5 ad and an infrared ray receiving device 6 for receiving the infrared ray emitted from the emitter 5 and reflected from the object 1 are disposed, and a distance to the object 1 is obtained according to the intensity of the reflected infrared ray. Distance information to the object 1 picked up by the camera 2 and obtained is separated to a remote distance and a near distance in a separating circuit 11 and they are respectively displayed on the corresponding panels 14 or 15. |
