<p>PURPOSE:To realize scrolling and paging operations by a single operating device, by using an operating dial provided with functions to detect both an angle of rotation and a position of depression. CONSTITUTION:The main body 3 of a remote-control unit is provided with an operating dial 1 and other operating buttons 2. The operating dial 1 controls scrolling with its rotation and paging with its depression. By detection of four directions, including the right and left directions as well as the front and back directions, the depression of the operating dial 1 makes it possible to use a turn of a page for instruction of an operation not only in the front and back directions, but also between page blocks such as chapters or paragraphs, making it possible also to give an instruction of changing over the upward and downward directions and the right and left directions with respect to the direction of scrolling by the rotation of the operating dial 1.</p> |
