PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a special voltage control circuit and to move a cleaning blade at good timing without applying any shock to a photosensitive drum by controlling digitally a voltage applied to a solenoid by using the digital output of a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:The solenoid 6 is applied with the driving voltage from a voltage applying means, but applied with an intermittent impulsive driving voltage from a control means when a cleaning blade is separated. Therefore, the microcomputer 1 which controls, for example, an image forming device is utilized to control the intermittence ratio of the impulsive driving voltage outputted by the voltage applying means, and the moving speed of the cleaning blade is controlled to separate the cleaning blade without giving any shock to the photosensitive drum. Consequently, the accuracy of time variation in the voltage applied to the solenoid is held high, and consequently the operation of the solenoid is secured and the need for a means which controls an analog voltage is eliminated.
