PURPOSE:To enhance a heat resistance and a corrosion resistance, by a method wherein a compound selected from among alcohols, ethers, ketones, and a specific derivative is incorporated in a hot-melt substance layer formed on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:An accepting sheet is laid over a transfer sheet so that an accepting layer thereof is in contact with a transfer layer of the transfer sheet. A required transfer image is formed on the surface of the accepting sheet by applying a thermal printing from the reverse of the transfer sheet. At this time, a hot-melt substance in the thermal transfer layer melts due to heat and serves as a carrier in the transfer of a coloring dye or pigment. Because an ethyl cellulose used as a binder has a high melt viscosity, it functions as to enhance the melt viscosity of the whole transfer layer to further uniformly improve a transfer efficiency, thus realizing the uniformity of the transfer image. Moreover, the hot-melt substance melts into a loading material held by a high-heat resistance water-soluble resin in the accepting layer, whereby the coloring dye or pigment is fixed more securely and the rub resistance and the heat resistance are enhanced. The aforesaid accepting sheet is constructed by providing the accepting layer of the water-soluble resin and the inorganic or organic loading material on the surface of a substrate, such as a paper, a synthetic paper, and a plastic film. |
