PURPOSE:To simplify process for production by laminating and sandwiching a redox layer formed by curing a photo- or thermosetting resin raw material incorporated therein with a redox agent and an electrochromic (EC) layer formed by curing a photo or thermosetting resin raw material incorporated therein with polyacid salt between substrates each deposited with a transparent conductive film. CONSTITUTION:The redox layer 3 formed by curing the photo- or thermosetting resin raw material incorporated therein with the redox agent and the EC layer 4 formed by curing the photo- or thermosetting resin raw material incorporated therein with the polyacid salt are laminated and sandwiched between the substrates 1 and 6 deposited with the transparent conductive films 2, 5. Substrates consisting of ordinary glass, plastics, etc., are usable for both the 1st and 2nd substrates 1, 6 constituting the EC element. The transparent conductive film consisting of tin oxide (SnO2) or indium tin oxide (ITO), etc., is used for the transparent conductive film 2. The process for production is thereby simplified.
