PURPOSE:To prevent no picture of a composite video signal from being seen in the picture of a CAPTAIN using terminal by generating a selecting signal for horizontally or vertically switching the picture of the user terminal and the picture of the composite video signal on a display screen for every prescribed picture elements. CONSTITUTION:When a signal in which a polarity is inverted for every one picture element display period is inputted to an EXOR element 16C, an EXOR output goes to '1' during the display period of for instance, a horizontal even number in picture element in a first field and it goes to '1' during the display period of an odd number the picture element in a second field. The output of this element 16C transmitted to a TV as a picture element selecting signal Ys, namely, the picture according to an external NTSC system composite video signal and the picture according to the CAPTAIN user terminal are horizontally and vertically alternately displayed for every picture element. When such a picture is viewed from the display screen with a suitable distance left, two type of whole pictures are superimposed and viewed according to the visual characteristic of a human being.
