PURPOSE:To improve the cross erasion rate by applying a coating process to the tape contact faces of both a plastic permanent magnet and a sintered permanent magnet of an all-permanent magnet erasion head. CONSTITUTION:For a permanent magnet erasion head used to a cassette recorder containing a radio set having a sound recording function, a cassette recorder or a tape deck, an all-permanent magnet erasion head 1 is used with an R-polishing process applied so that the tape running stability is secured when the tape touches the head 1 and at the same time the cross erasion rate of magnetization is improved. Furthermore a surface coating process 3 and a magnetizing process 2 are applied for acquisition of a finished product. Thus a coating layer of about 10mu is formed on the surface of a permanent magnet and the cross erasion rate is improved.
