PURPOSE:To improve the operating characteristics of the magnetic bubble and to keep the minimum size of a memory device by impressing a triangular wave current to one of paired coils so as to obtain a hexagonal rotary magnetic field for the synthetic magnetic fields of a pair of coils and impressing a trapezoidal wave current to the other coil. CONSTITUTION:It is not required to have a large size as conventional for a substrate 13 containing a magnetic bubble chip 10, and an appropriate size suffices. For a driving circuit of an X coil 11, the coil 11 which is expressed in an inductance component Lx and a resistance component RLx is earthed at one side. While an end of a Y coil 12 which is expressed in an inductance component RLy and a resistance component RLy is earthed for a driving circuit of a Y coil 12. A triangular wave current iLx flows to Lx; while a trapezoidal wave current iLy flows to Ly. Thus a synthetic magnetic field generated by coils 11 and 12 is turned into a rotary magnetic field showing a regular hexagonal litharge. The rotary magnetic field of such regular hexagonal wave characteristics is coincident with the characteristics of a magnetic bubble having a hexagonal symmetrical crystal structure such as garnet. This improves the operating characteristics of the magnetic bubble. |
