PURPOSE:To shorten the polarizing plate sticking time, and to improve the non-defective rate by providing a polarizing plate supply source constituted by folding up suitably a connected body of many pieces of polarizing plates connected by a connecting member and containing in a containing case. CONSTITUTION:A polarizing plate carrier tape 11 is, for instance, such a continuous film as a PET whose one face has been processed by a surface lubricant, but that which has connected a separator (PET, etc.) 16 used at the time of manufacturing a polarizing plate, by other adhesive tape 17 can also be used. The carrier tape 11 loaded continuously with many pieces of polarizing plates 12,... is formed in a state that it has been folded up like an accordion, and contained in a containing case 14, by which a polarizing plate supply source is constituted. The polarizing plates 12,... taken out continuously by the carrier tape 11 from the containing case 14 are transferred and stuck onto the surface of a liquid crystal cell 15. In such a way, the polarizing plate sticking time is shortened and the non-defective rate can be improved.
