PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a picture recording device, by a method wherein an adsorbing means to attract a sheet material is situated so as to facing on a cassette and magazine, and the sheet material is displaced on a given locus through the drive action of a single drive source. CONSTITUTION:A sheet material sheeting mechanism 24 comprises first, second, and third adsorbing means 26a, 26b, and 26c, capable of facing on a cassette 16, a magazine 8, and a magazine 20 for film, respectively, and a drive source 28 to displace the adsorbing means in a desired direction. By swinging an arm member 29 in the direction of an arrow mark B through drive of the drive source 28, a wire 50a is stretched, and the first adsorbing means 26a is forced into contact with a sheet S in the cassette 16 to adsorb and hold the sheet S by means of an adsorber. With the drive source 28 driven in a reverse direction, the adsorber is moved through the force of a spring in the first adsorbing means 26a, and the sheet S is fed onto a conveyance belt 60a.
