发明名称 IMPROVED METHOD FOR DEPHOSPHORIZING MOLTEN IRON
摘要 PURPOSE:To dephosphorize molten iron with the use of a small amt. of CaO and gaseous O2 by blowing CaO and Fe2O3 into molten iron with gaseous O2 as a carrier gas so that the CaO-to-toal oxygen ratio is controlled to a specified value at the time of dephosphorizing high-silicon molten iron. CONSTITUTION:When molten iron having a comparatively high Si content of >=0.20% is dephosphorized, a flux consisting of quick lime (CaO) powder, fluorite (CaF2) powder, and the powder of scales (Fe2O3) and contg. >=70wt.% total amt. of (CaO+Fe2O3) is blown into molten iron with an oxygen-enriched gas contg. 50-95vol.% O2 as a carrier gas so that the solid-to-gas ratio (kg/Nm<3>) is controlled 4-50. In this case, the ratio kg/Nm<3>) of the weight of CaO to the total volume of the oxygen contained in the flux and carrier gas is kept at 1.5-2.0, hence the P in the molten iron of high Si content is easily oxidized to P2O5 with the use of small amts. of the flux and carrier gas, the P2O5 combined with the CaO to form a stable compd. which transfers into molten slag, and the molten iron is dephosphorized.
