PURPOSE:To facilitate hot hydrostatic pressure processing to complicated shape made of various kinds of powdered materials by forming beforehand metallic film on surface of a green compact at the time of hot hydrostatic pressure processing of the green compact from the powder of various kinds of metals and the ceramic materials. CONSTITUTION:At the time of hot hydrostatic pressure processing (HIP) into the green compact from the metallic ceramic powder, in case of porous material having a little compressive effect by the HIP from some kinds of powdered materials or deterioration of the material of its own at high temp. or contamination of the HIP apparatus or contamination of the material by the atmosphere, after beforehand forming the thin film by metal of Au, Pt, Ni, Ag, etc., on the surface of the green compact by using method of plating, vapor deposition, spattering, coating, etc., the HIP is executed. The metallic film is closely brought into contact with the surface of the green compact during raising temp. and cooling by the HIP treatment, and even if it has complecated shape and is necessary material for vacuum sealing, the HIP can be simply and easily executed. |
