The process for producing a vehicle sun visor has as its starting point that the core of the sun visor is inserted into a prefabricated pocket (20) of a textile fabric. To obtain a pocket with a neat edge which is easy to produce, it is provided that at least two blanks of the textile fabric are welded to form the pocket with their outsides resting against a welding auxiliary film as intermediate layer. When the pocket is subsequently turned inside out, the part of the welding auxiliary film located therein is torn out.
