In this crane jib, the telescoping sections are extended and locked without overlapping by multiple actuation of a single-acting telescoping cylinder. In order to keep overturning moments due to the telescoping sections already extended from the interlocking device, a rigid tube is located within the cross-section of the jib; furthermore, an ascension means is installed in the upper part of the tube, by which the bottoms of the telescoping sections, which are designed as accessible platforms, can be reached. From here, the vertically suspended lengths of guy rope can be connected, once their ends have been brought together by two swivelling connecting rods. The locking and unlocking process can be automated by means of two cams at the upper end of the tube, because the electric current is always directed to the correct interlocking device if one of the cams at the end of the telescoping cylinder switches on the power.
