Supporting base for tiled stoves

To accommodate stove inserts in tiled stoves, use is made of supporting bases which are welded together from a plurality of relatively narrow metal sections and are individually adapted to the type of stove. The resulting distortion of these narrow metal elements during welding leads either to poor fitting of the base to the stove or to increased assembly work. The construction of the baseplate as an integrally formed workpiece ensures a distortion-free and good fitting accuracy with respect to the stove insert to be accommodated. Floor supports, which are constructed so as to be horizontally adjustable over and above the traditional vertical adjustability, enable a lengthening or widening of the supporting area used on the floor and thus improved adaptability of the supporting base to different types of stove without a great deal of assembly work.
