PURPOSE:To obtain a copy of high image quality by providing a developing device driving means for driving plural color developing means which rotate coaxially with an electrostatic latent image carrier and are driven independently of an electrostatic latent image carrier driving means. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body 11 is supported pivotally on a fixed shaft 111 and a gear 112 is fixed integrally to a side end of the photosensitive body 11. The photosensitive body 11 is driven by a photosensitive body driving source 113, through gears 114, 115, and 112. A developing gear 116, on the other hand, is supported pivotally on a fixed shaft 117 and driven by a development driving source 118 through the gear 117. A developing roller gear 120 is fixed integrally to an end part of the shaft of the developing roller 119 of a developing device 32. Then when the gear 120 is coupled with the developing gear, developing roller gears 122, 123, and 124 of other developing devices are placed in a separate state. Thus, the developing gear 116 is provided coaxially with the photosensitive body 11, so the developing devices arranged at the periphery of the photosensitive body 11 can be driven by one gear, so the constitution of the driving system is simplified.
