PURPOSE:To stop the transmission immediately when a terminal equipment of a sender detects an error by detecting an error when transmission data is transferred from a memory storing the transmission data to a transmission buffer register. CONSTITUTION:If the transmission data has an error when the transmission data is transferred from a memory 4 to a transmission buffer register 5 via a data bus 19, an error detection circuit 6 detects the error of the transmission data. Thus, the detection circuit 6 sends an error detection signal 18 to a transmission buffer register 5 and a FF 7 to erase the transmission data already transferred in the register 5 and to set the FF 7. The FF 7 is set to supply a transmission stop signal set in a transmission stop signal register 13 to a shift register 8 and the signal is sent to a transmission line 3 via a driver 9.
