A device (1) for dust removal from films (2), thin sheets or articles made of film has an air-duct channel (4) which is arranged transversely to the advance direction, preferably at right angles to the advance of the film (2) and through which the film (2) is moved. Through said duct (4), cleaning air can thus be blown transversely to the advance of the film across the surface to be cleaned and be fed with pressure on one side of the cleaning region and be sucked away by sub-atmospheric pressure on the other side, as a result of which high flow rates can be obtained (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
