PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity of a photosensitive body by using a cyclopentanebisphenol type polycarbonate for the binder polymer of an electric charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is formed by successively laminating on a conductive substrate 31 and undercoat layer 33, a charge generating layer 35 made of indium phthalocyanine, and the charge transfer layer 37 containing a hydrazone derivative (B) dispersed into the binder polymer (A) prepared by using the cyclopentanebisphenol A type polycarbonate represented by the formu la shown on the right. It is preferred to use p-diethylaminobenzal dehydediphenylhydrazone or the like for the derivative (B). The layer 33 may be omitted or the positively chargeable undercoat layer may be formed, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be enhanced in sensitivity without deteriorating fundermental characteristics, such as dark decay characteristics. |
