The light source (13) or (72) is arranged fixed at the vehicle body together with the housing (12) which accommodates it or a bridge fitting (71) to which the rear view mirror (74) is attached, outside the sun blind at a horizontal and vertical distance to the make-up mirror (11) arranged in or at the sun blind (4). The housing accommodating the light source (13) is formed by a moulding (12 or 120) assigned to the abutment support (7,70) of the pivot bearing (9,10) of the sun blind (4). The light source can be adjusted by a lens or diffusing screen, to give a diffused light when using the make-up mirror or a light beam for the reading of maps. USE/ADVANTAGE - In motor vehicles. Provides dual function light, for making-up or as reading lamp.
