PURPOSE:To incorporate a frequency conversion circuit simply into a time base correction device TBC by digitizing the frequency conversion circuit converting a low frequency conversion chrominance signal in a reproduced color video signal into a high frequency signal. CONSTITUTION:A reproduced low frequency conversion chrominance signal is converted into a digital signal by an A/D conversion circuit 18 and converted into a high frequency conversion chrominance signal by a digital frequency conversion circuit 23. A carrier data SCD for color signal high frequency conversion to apply frequency conversion fed to the frequency conversion circuit 23 is supplied from a waveform generating circuit 21. The phase of the chrominance signal high frequency conversion carrier data SCD from the digital waveform generating circuit 21 is controlled by a phase comparator circuit 22 detecting the phase difference between the clock signal ck in following to jitter and the burst signal BS from the frequency conversion circuit 23. Thus, the frequency converting circuit for the C signal is digital-processed as a part of the TBC, then the reproducer incorporating the TBC is constituted simply. |
