PURPOSE:To obtain a microspherical hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive having excellent initial adhesion and restrippability, by suspension-polymerizing a (meth) acrylate with a specific macromer in the presence of a polymn. initiator and a surfactant. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. consisting mainly of a (meth)acrylate and a macromer copolymerizable with said (meth)acrylate and having one polymerizable unsaturated group at its terminal, an MW of 2,000-20,000 and a Tg not lower than 50 deg.C is suspension-polymerized in the presence of an oil-soluble polymn. initiator and a surfactant in an aq. medium to obtain a microspherical hot-melt pressure- sensitive adhesive having an average particle size of 10-150mu. The raw compsn. for the production of the adhesive contains 5-30pts.wt. macromer per 100pts.wt. (meth)acrylate.
