PURPOSE:To attain stable and high speed measurement by obtaining an output voltage by peak detection and binarizing processing. CONSTITUTION:Only a desired wavelength is transmitted by a filter 9 from the light on the screen of the picture tube of a color receiver 8 and led to photodetection sections 10, 11. An output waveform by the photodetection sections 10, 11 has an extreme value every time a scanning line of the color picture tube passes the front face of the photodetection sections. The extreme value is held by a peak detection circuit 12 and led to a binarizing processing section 15 via a multiplexer 14. A reset circuit 13 release the holding of the peak detection circuit 12 for the extreme value before the next measurement.
