PURPOSE:To enhance the sensitivity of a long wavelength side by providing a recording layer which contains specific azulenium salt compound. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer which contains azulenium salt compound represented by formulae I and II is provided. In the formulae I and II, A is represented by formulae III, IV or V, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12 and R13 are hydrogen atom, halogen atom or 1-valency organic residue. Y is bivalent hydrocarbon group, N is integer number of 1 or 2, m is 1 or 2, p is 1 or 2, q is 0 or 1. X(-) indicates anionic residue. R14 is hydrogen atom, alkyl group, cyclic alkyl group, aryl group, aralkyl group or allyl group. Z is atomic group necessary to complete heterocyclic ring, while (r) is integer of 0 or 1. Q is sulfur atom, oxygen atom or selenium atom. P is hydrocarbon group, R15 and R16 are hydrogen atom, alkyl group, allyl group or styryl group, while (s) integer of 0 or 1. R17 and R18 are hydrogen atom, alkyl group, allyl group styryl group or heterocyclic group. Thus, it is absorbed at long wavelength side to obtain a high C/N ratio. |
