The invention relates to a hinge for securing the back-seat backrest of motor vehicles to the framework, comprising a first hinge part to be arranged in a manner fixed to the framework and a second hinge part which supports the backrest, which hinge parts are connected pivotably to each other by means of an axially fixed hinge pin reaching through the two hinge parts. In order to provide a hinge with which a relatively smooth-running, uniform pivoting motion is possible with little effort, it is proposed that the second hinge part (2) be clamped between two washers (8) which are secured on the hinge pin (3), are essentially conical, resilient and arranged with preloading, and that the washers (8) each have a flange (9, 10) integrally formed on their front side, with which flanges the washers (8) are positioned against the hinge parts (1, 2). <IMAGE>
