A container having at least one heat-sealed juncture is formed from foam polymer sheet material. The foam polymer sheet material includes an area of crushed and compressed cellular structure directly adjacent the heatsealed portion. The width of the crushed and compressed area is at least as great as the thickness of uncompressed foam in the layer.
