An end cap (6) for handles (1) is constructed, on its surface facing away from the handle (1), as a pressure surface (10) for a user's hand. Furthermore, it has a cup-shaped rim (11) which is directed towards the handle and radially outwardly bounds an annular recess (13) serving to receive a hook (14). The free edge (16) of the rim (11) is provided with arcuate recesses (17). Assigned to the latter is an annular groove (15) in the end face of the end cap (6). This configuration makes it possible to hang up the handle (1) in any desired angular positions on a hook (14). Furthermore, this makes it possible to hang up a handle (1) with end cap (6) on a further handle (1) with end cap (6). <IMAGE>
