PURPOSE:To enable a lens to always perform high accurate polishing in the case of a polishing holder irrespective of the holder shaft used, by pressing the upper and bottom polishing holders polishing the lens to be polished on a polishing plate being elastically pressed. CONSTITUTION:An upper stage polishing holder 2a is mounted to a holder shaft 6 through a holder spindle 1, and the upper stage polishing holder 2a, which internally provides a ring-shaped elastic material 3 of rubber or the like in the peripheral edge surface of a recessed part, is adapted to a bottom stage polishing holder 2b in its upper surface of conical head-shaped section. This bottom stage polishing holder 2b, which internally provides an elastic material 3b in the internal wall peripheral surface of an inside recessed part, presses a lens L to be polished on a polishing plate 4 through each elastic material 3a, 3b performing polishing by rotating the polishing plate 4 and by rotating the holder shaft 6 to be swiveled. In this way, even by using polishing holder regardless of the holder shaft high accurate polishing can always be performed and a polished lens product of good and high quality can be obtained.
