The invention relates to a process for producing dust-free membrane filters from cellulose derivatives, in particular cellulose acetates and cellulose nitrates, the membrane filter raw materials being dissolved in a solvent and the resulting solution being treated with a mixture of solvent and non-solvent such that only the membrane filter-forming cellulose derivatives are precipitated out which are then separated off and processed in a manner known per se for the membrane filter production. It is possible by this method to produce dust-free cellulose derivative membrane filters which are suitable in particular for serum protein electrophoresis.
