PURPOSE:To surely prevent thermal spraying material from peeling off by removing an oxide film on the heated raw material surface to be rolled in an inert gas atmosphere and thermal spraying, spraying material on the plate surface of the raw material and then, hot-rolling it. CONSTITUTION:Raw material 1 to be rolled is heated to the rolling temperature and the formed oxide film is removed in the inert gas atmosphere. Further, in an inert gas atmospheric state, the thermal spraying material 2 is sprayed at the high temperature to form a sprayed layer on the plate surface of the raw material 1 to be rolled whose oxide film is removed. Next, the hot rolling is performed on the raw material 1 to be rolled on which said thermal sprayed layer is formed. After the thermal spraying material is sprayed at the high temperature, since the hot rolling is immediately performed, the raw material 1 to be rolled and the thermal spraying material 2 are molten mutually to form a mixed layer 3 chemically. Moreover, since the thermal spraying is performed in an inert gas atmosphere, the oxidation between the raw material 1 to be rolled and the thermal spraying material 2 is prevented. By this method, the adhesive strength between the thermal; spraying material 2 and the raw material 1 to be rolled is improved and the thermal spraying material 2 is surely prevented from peeling off. |
