PURPOSE:To decrease an eddy current loss by forming laminated films of thin ferromagnetic metallic films and insulating films near the coil window of butt surfaces of a pair of magnetic core half bodies and forming thin ferromagnetic metallic films between the laminated films of the butt surfaces and medium sliding surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A pair of the core half bodies 4a, 4b having the coil window 6 and a working gap 7 are made of ferrite, etc. The thin ferromagnetic metallic films 9a, 9b, 10a, 10b consisting of 'SENDUST(R)', etc., are formed on the tape sliding contact surface 21 side of the working gap forming surface of the half bodies 4a, 4b and the back gap 8 forming surfaces thereof. The laminated films 13a laminated alternately with the thin films 11a consisting of 'SENDUST(R)', etc., and the insulating films 12a consisting of SiO2, etc., are formed along the coil window 6 between the thin films 9a and 10a of the gap forming surface of the one half body 4a. The boundary of the thin films 11a and the insulating films 12a is parallel with the gap forming surface and the coil window 6. The laminated films 13b laminated alternately with the thin films 11b and the insulating films 12b are formed between the thin films 9b and 10b near the coil window 6 of the gap butt surface of the half body 4b.
