PURPOSE:To reduce a man-hour till the completion of the composition of a program by inputting a processing partition-update item correspondence table generated at the time of a program designing work, as it is, as a parameter. CONSTITUTION:It is constituted of a parameter preparation module 1, a parameter inspection module 2, an index part generation module 3, an environment part generation module 4, a data part generation module 5 and a procedure part generation module 6. In the parameter preparation moduel 1, the parameter is prepared based on the processing partition-update item correspondence table, and in the procedure part generation module 6, the procedure part of the COBOL program is generated in a form that updating contents given as the parameter, are satisfied. Thus, the generation of a program specification, a program coding work and a program punching work can be eliminated.
