PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion of a photosensitive element to a dye fixing element during thermal development and dye diffusion transfer and the strippability of the photosensitive element after the transfer by specifying force required to strip the photosensitive element from the dye fixing element by a specified test method. CONSTITUTION:The entire surface of a 25X25-cm photosensitive element is coated with 2/3 time as much water as water which swells all the coated layers of the element to the utmost limit. The element is then superposed on a 25X25-cm dye fixing element so that the coated layers of the elements confront each other. After the elements are hot pressed at 90 deg.C under 1kg/cm<2> pressure for 25sec, the dye fixing element is fixed on a perpendicular plane and a spring balance is fitted to the lower end of the photosensitive element and pulled at 2cm/sec speed in the horizontal direction. Value indicated by the balance is measured and force required to strip the photosensitive element is regulated to 10-500g. Thus, the adhesion of the photosensitive element during heating and the strippability after transfer are improved. |
